    ContourHD in Socal

Finally found a setup with a stable image - the Contour Flex Strap Mount, which I attached to the down tube. Because the only shaking you see should be on the shocks!

cool vids ...The only mount I haven't tried is the Flex mount.. figures it would probably be the best... Contour needs to include better mounts with their units but other wise I love mine!!

cool video. I just got a contourhd recently. I mount mine on the down tube also. I used the goggle mount that came contour and use a elastic velcro strap that I had laying around to mount it on the frame.

Elastic velcro strap? got a picture? sounds interesting... I use Tie wraps but would rather something I can remove and install easier...

Are you able to keep the camera steady with the elastic strap? I've tried using the goggle mount with an elastic strap as a makeshift vented helmet mount, but the playback was too shaky.

try tie wraps.. works for me... there is a whole section here on make shift mounts for the contours as the ones they supply kinda suck it's too bad as I think they loose a lot of sales to the Hero just because of mounts supplied...

Actually the flex strap mount is pretty decent, but the prices are ridiculous. $30? Gimme a break...

heres what my mount looks like. I taped down a small piece of rubber from a brakelight mount on the rotating circle to keep it from shaking. The velcro is extras I have laying around from a battery bike light mount.
