Contour Roam set at 720p 30fps

The roam is attached to the seat tube using the flex mount.

Not bad! Shaking is minimal. I have a Contour +2, but I use it on helmet. I could do just 1 video with it due bad weather. Just route the brake's cable inside the fork, so it can't catch a branch or something that could destroy the whole thing.

Thanks. The flex mount works okay as a helmet mount too. The only thing I don't like about helmet pov is that you can't really see the rider or the bike. I personally like chest mounts the best for mtb.

Oh, and I was thinking about Rerouting the brake cable, but I'm not sure what's the best way with Manitou forks since they all have reverse arches.

Any idea how to mount the Roam with the GoPro chest mount for minimal shaking?

I have that set up but there is too much vertical camera movement and shaky video.

I'm not sure how well a roam would work on a gopro chest mount. I've only tried helmet, handlebar and seat tube angles.

For a contour chest mount, see link below and go down to post 23. The OP made his own chest mount, but post 23 shows how to use a gopro mount. Since the roam has a tripod mount, we wouldn't need the universal mount in the vid. I haven't tried it, but plan to in the future.

I keep thinking of lashing it to my front fork...

Most of the time I do helmet mounted :/

This was from when I first got it- setup handlebar mounted. Not a good idea to mess with the Contour cam when you are bombing down a DH trail...

Nice. I might have to try that on my bike. I'll put mine on the right side, though, because I have a Lefty.

Are the straps super tight? I also have a Contour(GPS) and was thinking of ways to duplicate GoPro's chest mount. I thought about strapping the Contour on the shoulder straps of a Camelback or plain backpack. Or maybe using those gun holsters that hide the firearm under your armpit. One can try to attach the camera by the side of the torso. CCW Ultra Concealment Shoulder Holster | Gunner Security

I've mounted my ContourGPS on my bikes' forks a few times, using strips from an old inner tube. Only on street bikes though, haven't tried it offroad
