Cheap Chinese video cameras
I want to make a video of my regular route when out on my bike.
I was looking at the usual suspects but they are in the order £200, I was wondering if the Chinese ones on ebay are any good.
I mean they are not going to be a GoPro but has anybody tried one, and is the video of usable quality? I only want to play it back on the TV so my wife can see what I get up to!
They are available for about £30 (about $50) including helmet/bar mounts which is tempting. Looking at the seller's feedback they have not had any negatives with these cameras (dozens sold)
Memory storage is on Micro SD card.
I've tried a few cameras and have a few. I had a Drift HD. I currently have a Contour HD as well as the Liquid Image Ego. I've also tried my friend's Go Pro Hero 3 and for the money, the Liquid Image is pretty darn good, considering its under $200 USD and can be found on ebay for around $135.00. If you can find a good mounting spot for the Liquid Image, then I'd look into that. Not many things aren't made in China these days, so I'm not questioning their quality, but I would be weary of their warranty and service issues.
A video from a ride I did with my Liquid Image Ego.
I will tell you what, why don't l buy one of the $50 ones and then report back on what it is like.
