    angle question

So far, I've seen a variety of different helmet mounts, the classic chest mount, and the seat post mount.

Has anyone tried a full "third person" perspective set-up so that it looks something like a video game? I was trying to visualize something like a pole attached to the seatpost which placed the camera in a behind right or behind left position.

    Impractical?

I have a few views like that in this vid. Some mounted down low on the seat stay, and some from behind off the helmet. Reducing camera shake becomes an increasingly serious issue the farther you move the camera off the bike using a mechanical lever like a pole. It tends to exacerbate movement.

Tried it too...didn't like results. I spliced two of my raw clips together for you and uploaded them for your opinion.

To much shake on a VERY smooth trail.

Personally I wouldn't mind it if the camera was just facing Barney the whole time. Nevermind the trail or the scenery.
