    Aerial quadcopter video of Folsom Prison XC course

    Here is some mixed video I shot at one of the races at the Folsom Prison course.

    I used hand held HD Panasonic and a a Contour HD on my QuadCopter, I hope you enjoy...

    Loved it; it really conveyed the funness of this event !

    Can you share the details of your quad set up... parts, where you got, approx cost. You can PM me if you'd rather not divulge here. I'd like to fly my Contours over some of the events here in Texas.

    Awesome!

    I know nothing about these helicopters but a friend is building one. Are they loud/visible enough that the riders knew it was there, or would they have had no idea?

    Up close they are a bit loud... I thought about dubbing mine "The Angry Hornet" If they are 100-150 feet away they probably would not notice....

    It's a Witespy 450 all stock from Hoverthings. Simple carbon plate for mounting cameras. I use both the GoPro and Contour. The Contour seems to resist vibration and shake better, could be that it's heavier/more mass.

    Very cool, I'll pass that model on to my friend. Do you have some sort of cockpit view or do you just point the front/camera at the action you're trying to film?
