Video of me riding my 575. Just got a gopro (this is literally the 1st ride with it) so excuse some of the angles but i was trying a few things out. This is my local trail and it isn't very technical either.... but anyway.
I think I'm one of the few that are still a fan of the chest mount because I think it is the best way to capture video without disrupting the ride with a bunch of stops. Looks like fun riding and the rocky stuff looks like perfect trail for the 575. Good stuff.
One way to keep the chest cam more stable is to put a hydration pack chest strap over the chest mount and then tighten it down when your a videoing. I forget most of the time but it is noticeably more stable with the chest strap tight.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tip, i will deffinately give that a try. I am still trying to figure out the best mounting, but the chest mount is definately one of the best in my opinion, but stability is a problem. Thanks.
Had a great ride on saturday morning. Did about 40k and hit a few hills. Also went exploring and found some tracks that I had never ridden before. All around Sutherland and Woronora. GPS trace here http://connect.garmin.com/activity/102939078
Another video. This time it is riding the SS Salsa El Mariachi at the recent single Track Mind round at Mount Annan in Sydney. This was a 8 hour endurance event which i did as a pair. We did 14 laps of aobut 9km and came in 10th out of 36 in male pairs (most people had gears though).
Are many guys still riding Menai? I miss Menai. Not sure if I should go out and ride it yet
I miss menai too, but I'm staying away at the moment. I think if it gets sorted and becomes legitimate, then it will be worth the wait. There are plenty of great trails springing up though in nearby areas (like the ones in my latest video). They still aren't legit, but are lots of fun until menai comes back on line
I see there was a hazard reduction burn at Loftus Yesterday too. Wonder what the tails will look like after that.
