    XC Riding around Warren, VT

I will be heading up to Warren for labor day weekend, this isn't going to be a riding vacation but I am going to bring my bike and would like to get in 1 or 2 rides.
Looking for some XC trail recommendations that are close by.

There is a fair amount of stuff in the Mad River area.

The Mad River Riders - Mountain Bike

Also, Perry Hill in Waterbury is nearby and worth a trip. Those are maintained by the Stowe MTB Club.

There is a big network in the Mad River Valley, definitely check out the map and trail descriptions. If you have more questions, let us know!

Waterbury is about 20 minutes from Burlington, and the Mad River Valley is about 40. Be prepared to climb straight out of the barrel and bring bug spray - but the trails are well worth it!

Central Vermont got nailed. Call ahead to see if you can get to where you're going - A lot of roads got washed out.

I walked a MRV loop yesterday, maple twist, enchanted forest, sugar run, etc. Wet but no big erosion, maybe 8 bigger blowdowns that need chainsawing, we removed smaller branches as we walked. Looks pretty dry all week, so you may be OK. A lot of roads still closed, e.g, parts of 100, 100B, but most have alternate, if longer & scenic, routes.

Chainsaws are already out working on the bike trails. We will have a full inventory in a week or so. It looks like most of the network is okay. The Mad River Path, along the river, did not do so well.
