Finished my Vermont Brewery challenge just before Columbus Day. Last place on my list was the Norwich Inn .....enjoyed a great lunch and beer visit with my wife.....it took me almost 18 months to hit all 24 on the Vermont Challenge. It started with a late night drive to Kingdom Trails.....stopped at a Vermont rest stop to grab some Green Mountain Coffee to ensure I didn't t fall asleep at the wheel. I spotted a Vermont brewers association map of VT beers. Picked it up and a little passport card with 24 micro brewery's to visit. About half of the brewery visits I picked up on riding trips to VT....the other half on ski trips. Visited all over the state and hit some towns I never would have gotten to see unless I had been on the quest to visit the micro brewery's of Vermont. Dragged plenty of friends to some pretty long side trips.
So even though I had been to a few previously I visited all to get a stamp at each....the beer sampling was superb! Most of he time had Something to eat and had a great time! After my last stamp I sent in the passport to the VBA. A few weeks passed and The nice people at the Vermont Brewing Association sent a great set of beer gear to me. It included a hand written Thank you letter, VBA tee shirt, 2 Pilsner glasses, bottle opener, coasters, tote bag, and baseball cap( all with the VBA logos ).
Mountain Biking and Vermont Beer what a great combination!
