    Trail recommendations near Wilmington, VT

    Hi Guys,

I'm going to be up in Wilmington for about a week with the family in mid-April and thought I'd get some riding in. Can anyone suggest some good trails in this area? Also would be good to know the best bike shops to check in with. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer.

It's going to be tough in mid-April. Vermont mud is quite amazing. I'm not local to that area, though, so hopefully other people chime in.

^^^^ this probably why you are not getting any responses. there could very well be snow on the ground at that time. anyway Mt.Snow and Crosstown trails are right there. you may want to consider skiing.

How about this time of year - anything good around Wilmington? The Mt Snow XC trails looked pretty cool, are there any other decent options in the area? Thanks.

Wooo Woooo! Not a question of mapping capability. Lots of private lands (folks not necessarily interested in promoting access), some conservation lands (managers are "sensitive" to threat of increased use), federal lands (where information is hard to gather for some reason), etc... So, an inquiry w/an H,T*W member can steer you the right (appropriate) way. Better yet, provide a tour and suggestions for more. Kill time on Mount Snow stuff until you hook up w/club rep. But lots of different stuff for every ability
