Need help taking kids out in New Hampshire

    Hey All-

Need some help finding paved or really smooth hardpack to ride on in NH or southern VT. My wife and I are long time off road riders who normally ride a lot of single track. We now have two very young children and take them out in a trailer...

We live in Nashua and have already found the Nashua River Rail Trail. We are looking for some other suggestions to keep us fit while waiting for the kids to get older. I don't mind doing some driving. My only two parameters are:

No actual roads with cars. I hate having the kids out around motor vehicles and road bikers. Too many idiots.

I need to get a wide double trailer through the whole trip and it needs to be smooth. My youngest is only 16 months and I cant be jangling her over ruts and tree roots.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. As previously mentioned, I'll drive a few hours each way for a good trail.

The Franconia Notch bike path is very scenic, with nice stops along the way, and it will give you a pretty good workout

There is the Minuteman Bikeway. I've never been on it, so I don't know if it gets crowded at times or not.

There is a lot of stone dust railway bed in Manchester and heading east. Start at Lake Massabesic just off the traffic circle from Exit 1 on Rte 101 and head east from there.

    Have fun!

I can barely get my mouth around it.
