    Horses and NH state parks

The New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation : Proposed Admin Rules
Not sure if anyone else has heard the hubub, but the NH Parks and Rec department is clarifying their rules on horses (don't go on trails <8 ft, pick up your poo) and are accepting comments. I know that the horse people have been very vocal against these rules:
Proposed Park Rules Spur Horseback Riders' Anger | New Hampshire Public Radio,
so mountain bikers should probably have their voices heard. The awesome re-route of lower Hemlock at Bear Brook got post-holed by a horse rider already. I'm not trying to start a whole anti-horse thread here, if you have comments, make them to DRED.

Meh. They hate us, we hate them. Can't we all just get along? I feel like these rules are great ideas, but I don't expect them to be followed very religiously. I do, however, expect horseback riders to propose a bunch of retaliatory rules against us. Then the hikers will revolt, stage a coupe d'etat at every major park in the state and have us all beheaded for failing to behave like adults and not sweat the minor stuff.
