French's Ledges good to ride (Plainfield)

I rode French's Ledges Yesterday and it was in great shape. Everything hardening up well with only a few small damp areas. Clearly there had been some riding a bit early and there are some deeply grooved areas but no issue now.

These are some nice flowy trails with climbing. Good for a few hours, not all day for sure. Map available on the town web site, I believe. Can be kind of confusing without a map. There is a great view from the top but it requires a 50 yard climb by foot. Nice place for a weekday quick ride, not sure I would make a trip for it though, depending where you are coming from. Might suggest Boston Lot for a much longer ride in the area.

Thanks. We are still working on the fitness level and plan on riding sat and a bigger ride on sunday over in vt. So just looking for something off 89. I'll look up boston lot too. If you want to pm me about that boston lot so as not to hijack this thread I'd thank you again

Ok leaving in a bit to ride French's....if a local wants to show us around we will be at colby hill rd lot at 11-1130. expert level skill...intermediate fitness level lol.

So what is up with the Secret Trail and trail vandalism? I heard there is an issue with a new landowner. Can anyone shed some light?
