    Thinking about one again especially with all this snow. How important are 4.8 tires vs the more commonly found 3.8-4.0 tires? Planning for mostly snow riding.

    Time in the transitional zone is where the fattest shine.
    Early in the winter and early in the spring, the conditions can change by the hour. The extra width and float can get you there and back.
    Otherwise, any width fatbike will be more fun than anyone should be allowed.
