No help on the conditions but I'd like to check this place out too, when are you heading up?

Check out the youtube videos, it looks really fun. I can't find a map though and I've yet to come across an opportunity to get up there with someone who knows it. I'm not sure if it's hard to find your way or not...

Wow. That looks much cooler than I expected. Some pretty good drops in there. I think I might stop by Andy's (LBS) and see if I can get some details on how to find that stuff. Either that or just do some exploring.

Yeah, it looks really fun. Are you going to be there 4/27 or are you talking 5/4?

Yes 4/27-28. Not sure if I'll be riding on Saturday or Sunday though. Plans are somewhat up in the air. Might be heading down Friday night or late morning on Saturday. Gonna be in town visiting with the in-laws so Sat. will probably be out unless we head down Friday night.

Do you live in the area? I'm about 2 hours north.

No, I'm way down in metro Boston, about 90 minutes away. But I've had this place on my hit list for a long time so if you know a little bit ahead of time when you're going to head out I'd be up for exploring and maybe some locals will be out and about, the weather looks stellar both days this weekend.

I've seen maps before, try Google. There used to be local outfitter (closed) that sold a trail map. One of the local bike shops might have one. The place is pretty easy to explore. There's a main forest road (blue blazes) that horseshoes around from the trailhead on Timberlane Dr. Climb up from there and you'll see several trails intersecting from above and continuing downhill. You could accidentally end up at Goose Pond, but there's a trail that winds back to the lower Drummer area if you don't want want to retrace the route you just took.

Thanks dire! That's good to know, I never know what I'm getting into when I head in to check out a new area. I've spent many days in CT lost just trying to find trails before, but it sounds like this one shouldn't be too bad. Do you ride there often? Just curious what kind of singletrack mileage is there... I've tried searching quite a bit in google, I keep getting more info on some place in England called Drummer Park.

Here's an ok trail map, but doesn't include everything: Drummer HIll Trail review page

There's plenty of singletrack when you link up trails. You'll probably end up using the blue double track to work back up and around. I used to spend a lot of time there when I went to school in Keene.

Awesome man, thanks! I'll use this to at least get around, I'm wondering how much has changed since this was printed in '05. I'm thinking about the trails I ride here in Boston, my guess is most of them didn't exist even in 2010.

gnar -- my apologies about this weekend. Plans sort of went to hell and I didn't have a chance to get on here. Did you ride Drummer?

No worries man, I didn't make it out there either. Maybe we can try for another weekend in May?
