5th annual Chili Ride Sunday, November 10th (Western MA)!!

You are cordially invited to attend PV NEMBA's 5th annual Chili Ride! Close out another great (or not so great...) riding season with a 2-3 hour intermediate mountain bike ride on classic Wendell trails, followed by a chili-themed potluck and cook-off! Wendell State Forest in Western Massachusetts offers a wonderful mix of typical New England singletrack - if you have not made if out there yet you're in for a treat!
If you think you have it in you make a whole mountain bike weekend out of it and come to the CTS Whole Enchilada Endurance event on Saturday, Nov. 9th, stay overnight in the beautiful Franklin County, and ride the Chili Ride on Sunday! Monday is Veteran's Day so some of you lucky folks may even have it off.

Bring your favorite chili, side dish, appetizer or dessert to win fabulous prizes and for a chance to be crowned the PV NEMBA Chili Champion!!

Largely designed, built and maintained by the same folks. Wendell is less hilly, but otherwise the trails are typical old-school hand built New England single track recreational trails. If you can't find the flow, improve your technique.

I think you really should have Salsa sponsoring this.

Like Hado said, designed by a lot of the same people but the trails don't have the same feel as the CTS, in part because you don't have as much elevation change and in turn the trails are not quite as tight. They are by no means flow trails like you'd find at some of the mechanically-built or more polished trail networks but Wendell does not put a hurt on you quite like CTS does (rather, you can avoid the hurt at Wendell...).
Rugged, fairly rocky and rooty, classic New England singletrack with its share of technical features but not too much "big" stuff, one of my all-time favorites and I encourage you to come on down to check them out. This year's chili ride is also going to be fairly mellow ("social-paced").
