    Ventana Questions

The new Ciclon looks promising, but I have a few questions:
1.) Are the rear dropouts interchaneable between standard QR & 12mm?
2.) Do Ventanas use a non standard BB (press fit or something)?
3.) Could somebody explain the Ventana trade in policy?

    Thanks in advance!

    1) Dropouts are modular and interchangeable on Ciclon, 135 x 10 QR is standard and the 12mm Shimano Star nut TA are available.

    2) BB is Pressfit30 There are adapters available to run the older X-type BB/Cranks. The beauty of the PF30, is it's flexibility, you can run the newer type of BB/Cranks or the older style Externals. Just a matter of which adapter to run.

    3) Trade in Policy, if you own a Ventana frame, you can trade it in and get a 30% discount on a new Ventana frame.

I have a 2012 El Ciclon, so I'll give you my confirmation on this if it's not too late (been out of commission for a while).

    1) I've done this. It works like a charm. The dropouts are easily changed via allen bolt.

    2) My Ciclon runs an X-type BB with the adapters. I use a King BB and RF Atlas cranks. I had to have one of the BB sleeve that had to be taken out, but that just meant extra grease.

    3) This is a huge help, so you don't have to sell an old frame (which is a serious PITA).
