    RP23 & Gonzo Valve

Using an older RP23 shock with the lever and air valve on opposite sides can you use a gonzo valve? I'd like for the levers to be pointed outward (accessible while riding) and be able to access the air valve behind the rocker with a pump. Does anybody have experience with this?

I have an RP23 with the setup below....works great..the Fox recommendation is to have it pointing down, but I have no problems with it like this.

In this article, the competitive cyclist guys install it like that too.
