    Has anyone had any issues with hooking and/or impacting the cable housing where it exits the Rase body? I seem to bend the ferrule at that location every time I ride, which necessitates a replacement ferrule each ride. PITA!

    I wonder if I were to install a V-brake noodle at this location, would it help? Has anyone tried this? I see the GD now has an after-market noodle-type component that does just this, see below:

    Luckily my cross bar is more like the rear bike in "el saltamontes" picture and does not get in the way too much but I can see your point if the cross bar you have is like the bike in the fore ground.

    Yeah, I ride a 2009 RM Altitude.

    I have upgraded to high quality Jagwire ferrules and the problem is solved to date. They've only seen a couple of rides though, so we'll see how they hold up over the medium to long term.

    The problem seemed to be solved with the upgraded ferrules and braided cable housing, however, now that the cold weather is upon us, I find that water has found its way into the housing and freezes when on the trail.
