Cool. Yeah, that ciclon verde looked pretty sweet. That's a super classy build with the phil hubs and the brooks! It's too bad, and pretty silly, that sunset trail is officially closed; it's actually in great shape right now, better than it often was before the station fire.

My friend and I ended up doing about 5500' of climbing yesterday, so no rides for me today, unless supine couch riding counts.

PM me if you guys want to hook up for more rides in the san gabes...

I'll throw out a few video's from this past Veterans Day ride at Skyline Park in Napa

Just love me some Skyline in Napa Californ ia. Nice hard climbs, followed by some smooth, many rough descents. Love it!

I'm on my Chucho. The tall guy I'm chasing at times is on an El Capitan. There's a guy on an orange X-5 too, but tends to break the camera so stays out of the filming.

    Elchucho's first snow ride

Went out and rode in a couple of inches of fresh snow from last night. We were the only ones at the trail head and saw no one on the trail, we rode 16 miles and it started dumping at the 7 mile mark. I was glad I wore my ski helment and goggles especially for the descent. Pics are from a cell phone so not the best.

Yeah,23". I'm 6' 4" with a 38" inseam, thank god for dropper seatposts.I'm loving mine as well. Snow rides are sweet, I'm thinking about building a fat bike next year, no funds now. I wonder if Sherwood has made a fat bike frame? Here's a better picture of my behemoth.

Yeah he was the last in the conga line of riders an unfortunately there was a skinny uphill climbing guy in the middle of it all creeping his way down the hill. Sean didn't leave enough room to be able to roll it at his normal speed so he was crawling along scrubbing speed with both brakes and then BLAMMOH. Just fell to earth and bounced. Oooph...

Man, still can't understand how the heck you have all your teeth. You're hand position would be sending me over the bars at the slightest bump. Oi! You Freak! Take that back to the zoo!(A little Duece Bigelo there for ya).

I know, I know… AND I have taken this to heart. It was pointed out to me in one of my videos, and since that time I am VERY conscious about my riding position. Just a bad habit that developed over the 25 years I’ve been on a MTB. Anyway, I “check myself” often now, and I am NOT riding this way anymore. (see, you can learn things on MTBR!) This photograph (really a “time lapse” / single image from a GoPro) was taken over two years ago.

So, the year is coming to an end, I’m playing bachelor tonight, got my iTunes playing my playlist “Todd’s Rock / Classic”, stuff like The Eagles, Edgar Winter, Boston, Bad Company, Areosmith, Golden Earring, Pink Floyd… Yea, I guess I am an old fart? Anyway, got me thinking of this years trips. Not many “epic” trips this year, the economy has hit us around here. But, we did squeeze in a few around California and S.W. Utah. Weather permitting, we’ll be riding something Saturday January 1st.

    Ole!
Yay for being an Old Fart. Old Farts tend to have nicer bikes . The Mammoth trip was the highlight of my riding year. Though the annual trips to Sea Otter and Interbike are always nice. Especially when I run into various Ventanaphiles to ride and hang out with. Hope y'all are surviving and thriving this holiday season.

El Salt, ask Fo about how much fun the annual New Year's Day Little Pine Extravaganza is. I'll definitely be up there if I'm not freezing my bon bons off in Humboldt County then.

Last ride of the year, Dec 31, 2010 at about 2pm. Nothing at all “epic”, or “knar”, but just fun to be out on the bikes with friends after the tons of rain we’ve had – more coming by Sunday.

Out numbered by Knollys, I still managed a smile.

    Last Shots of 2010

My Last two shots of riding for 2010.

Frustratingly we had 18 days of rain in December, 11 of which were on WEEKENDS

Wet Conditions = a few of these

Jejeje, it is not an optical illusion, is the rotor crank system:
