    New El Rey -- 23"

    Just got her built and have two rides thus far. I am 6'6" and coming off of a 25" El Capitan.

    23" El Rey -- Cosmic Orange
    SRAM X0 2x10 with 24-38 chainrings
    Fox 32 TALAS Fork 95-120 w/15mm QR
    Flow/Hope II wheelset
    Hope M4 Brakes
    Easton Haven Carbon bar
    Thomson stem and seatpost
    Went with the 142 mm rear axel upgrade
    30.7 lbs

    I definitely approve of the colour combo

    Where in California are you? It would be interesting to hear your thoughts vs the older Ventana 29er.

    Wow! I like the lines on that frame, the TT flowing into the seatstays is cool. Nice build up too. What thru axe rear did you go with?

    that bike is beautiful... but how does it pedal? i have heard people describe them as bob-monsters

    Ciclistagonzo: It's a Shimano 12 x 142 mm thru axel. That's what Sherwood designs around.

    Honkonbobo: This new design pedals better than my old El Cap. Much less bob both in and out of saddle.

    Down in SoCal. Very cool
    Do you notice any difference in the 142x12 vs the 135x10?

    I agree with you on the better pedability. Coming from an X-5 and an El Salt my 2012 El Ciclón pedals MUCH better and can make climbs I couldn't before.
