Smile My first Ventana is on the way!

hello all. i ordered my EL CHIQUILLO frameset in blue metallic just before Christmas. i hope to get her next week. this is my first Ventana. i am working with Chad @ Red Barn and it has been a pleasure working with him. i highly recommend Chad to anyone considering a Ventana! Teresa and Sherwood also helped me out initially with questions i had. also a pleasure dealing with them! thanks to everyone here too for knowledge i gained by going through the threads.

i am collecting parts and it will take another month or two for the bike to be complete. can't wait! so far i have a white 07 fox 100rlt fork, pink king headset, blue king hubs (will be switching to pink king hubs soon) laced to dt 4.1s, fsa k-force light crank w/ceramic bb bearings, and avid juicy ultimates. rest of drivetrain will be xtr, cockpit all fsa k-force. still mulling over a few things to complete the bike. that's all for now. i will have to update and post pics when she is built up! everyone have a safe and happy New Years!

    My first Ventana too

Like you, I'm in the countdown to get my first Ventana from Chad. In my case not a Salty but a red El Ciclon. After long weeks and months thinking about, finally I reached the conclusion El Ciclon was my bike!

Perhaps mtbr and your posts have made part of the work. We'll see...

Enjoy your Saltamontes. God save the Salty!

Now that you have a bike built for anything you can handle...get some clips and toss those pedals

Just arrived from my 1st ride (btw, with decent CB pedals, Street) and smiling too. It amazes how versatile she is.
