How do you tell when you need new bearings?

Ive read about some of you having your bearings replaced and wondered if there was a way to tell when yours have gone bad. I have an early Bruja frame so it's getting up there in years.

    Thanks for your thoughts

I would unhook the upper shock mount....lay the shock on the downtube then cycle the linkage. If you hear that crunchy sound then time to replace.

If you have a Gen. I Bruja.....definitely time to replace those bearings. Get ready to get out the big hammer too. Those babies are gonna be stuck in there good.
