    I HATE that! It's the same everywhere, so it's not just Ventana of course, but why can't people (which btw also are customers) from outside the US enter these things most of the time?

    That could be dealt with by a disclaimer in the entry rules. I'd happily pay the Norwegian 25% value added tax and $20 customs fee if I was given a new frame for free in another country, ending up with a $2000 frame at a $520 cost.
