    El Comandante plus 120m fork

    A question regarding running a 120mm fork on the El Comandante.Can anyone inform me on whether they have tried it and if so was it a success,thanks.

    Not dead, but apparently no one with an El Com has done the 120mm fork combo that has seen your post. I just mentioned this in another reply, MTBR is but a small sample of Mt Bikers in general let alone a specific, small brand like Ventana.

    The only e-speculating I can do is that 120mm will slacken the head angle a full degree. Slower handling for sure, but more secure and stable for DH. Do you have an El Com now? If so, how does it feel to you @100mm?

    I would contact the mother ship and talk to Sherwood. IMHO, the more you deviate from the frames design intent you can expect a reduction in performance. I have a semi custom 650B hard tail that was designed for a 495mm A2C and it smokes......fun bike.
