    El Chiquillo - strictly 80mm ?

Have been offered an El Chiquillo at a very good price,

The website says 80mm forks - is that strict ?

Could it run to 100mm ?

    thanks

100mm will just slacken your angles a bit. Call Ventana, they answer their phones, and give out real time information.

This topic has come up several times for the various Ventana hardtails, so you might want to try and search for it. Seems like there are several folks on this board running 100mm forks.

When I got my Comandante, I told Sherwood that I was planning on running a 100mm fork. He recommended that I add a wrap-around headset gusset as well as use the same top tube as an El Salt. I did both things for a modest upcharge.

Email Sherwood for the final word.

I run mine slightly longer than 100mm.

Of course Sherwood built it a bit different than stock.
