I can't decide what I think of the Candy Purple paintjob? Who's seen it IRL? What do you guys think? Is it s spectacular hommage to Kleins of old with a deep gloss, or is it a girly hit and miss?
I think I might want it, but can't seem to make up my mind, and am not able to see i before I choose.
Pics of actual bikes in this colour would also be great.
Klein Paint Jobs were ahead of their time
Their are some posts of that color here and on ventana site. I do not think any PC job could compare to Kleins paint jobs.
I was hoping Int14 would post pics of his old Purple wonder for you, but he might not have any or something.
The Only thing I could find was the sample available on the Ventana website.
El Conquistador de Montañas | Ventana Mountain Bikes USA
Click the color samples below the pic of the Conquistador.
This appears to be recent full frame build with the purple, bright sunshine, so not sure if this is Candy Purple as it seems a shade lighter, hopefuly the OP the thread can verify;
Girly? No, deep color, yes.

Reason: Found more info
"Before D.W., "anti-squat" was referred to as pedal feedback."
There is a picture of my old El Capitan in Ventana's gallery section.
The girl bike is candy purple. When the sun hits it it goes crazy....reflects a lot of blue too. Cool color.
Great. Thanks, guys! Cool looking color, that!
About "old Kleins"; Adroits/Attitudes in the "Black Sudbury" or "Night Storm" paint schemes are cool "purple" colors in my book. A bit dated maybe, but cool.
It's an amazing color that changes with the weather...really cool. It's got a lot of "hot rod" in it.
Didn't mean to link it to a gender....nor that top tube for that matter.....I'd ride both in a heart beat.
