Blankets Creek North Loop - 3 Ventana's and a Turner

Lonestar, Redrocker, D-Rock and I went for some fun at Blankets Creek this morning. The new section, North Loop, is really coming along. Really flowy. They were working hard on it today too...thanks for the hard work guys!

    The Players

    Me

    D-Rock

    RedRocker (the only Turner)

    Lonestar

    Getting ready...

Me, on a little 3 footer on North Loop

    Lonestar on NL

    RedRocker on NL

    D-Rock on NL

There is a nice rock drop at the end of North Loop. I did it...but the landing is slightly uphill which makes for a really hard landing. Also, the entrance launches you pointed down. I talked with Mountainman earlier and in the ride and he said that they are going to do some work on it. It has some serious potential. The jump to the right in the picture is a lot of fun too.

Me, having some fun at the trailhead...

For all of you guys that have heard about the water issues we are having in GA...here is our second largest lake. That used to be all water.

    Great ride today guys!

Sweet pics. It's always nice to wake up on Sunday morning to see photos of Ventanas on dirt! I'm up in NH and it might be a while before we see some dirt again. Looks like studs for a while...

Good ride with great friends! Mountainman and the guys keep up what is the funnest trail in Metro Atlanta.

We also saw AlloyNipples who has a Cosmic Orange Salty and another guy on a Chamuco.

5 Ventanas in one spot. A rarity around here.

I love Blankets.. I wish I had my Ventana (didn't have it purchased yet) when I was there. I rode a 40+ lb Ram XT.

Beautiful pics.. I'd go back and ride there again with my Ventana.

    Ok, I'm relieved!

If you have any other shots to share, please.

Right here, we're slowly emerging from the mud season to the ice season. So those pics are just a marvel.

I don't think Sherwood was happy with that pic... But it did bring about a new "idea" Ventana's CS is incredible.

Not and DT approved Spot drop? Apparently it's not really a Ciclon approved drop either. It can take it...seeing as I did it 3 times that day...but I think I need something with bigger tubing!

    You'll see next month.

I'm waiting on the call from DT telling me I need to switch frames! Especially if I keep posting me going off that rock drop at Big Creek.

Maybe he'll make a Spot with a beefed up headtube

That would be perfect...while he is at it, DT should add a little bit more travel to it too. How does 6.4" sound?!
