    Birthday Ba$tard Ride!

So Birthday boy celebrated his birthday by flogging his Ba$tard around for a few miles.

    1) 650B warms up in the parking lot...
    2) It quickly went into chase mode... That's a 29er in front (0GRE for the norcal folks)
    3) That lead to this 650B Water crossing...
    4) Later the Ba$tard flew up a climb....
    5) All in all, you could honestly call it... a Dirty Ba$stard!

Celebrated my B-Day this past Friday (March 7th), 287.7 weekends of fun, but all I did was hang around the house trying not to cough up my lungs. This lousy cold has knocked the cr@p out of me for the past two weeks.

Looking good Sherwood! Happy Birthday to you!

That was so much fun. Don't forget about Sherwood's bday present: 3 boxes of Thin Mints!

No, Full custom 17". For the man himself. (As it should be)
There are NO Production Bastardo's yet.

Awesome. I asked because once the Bastardo does get into Production, and geometry gets published, I'll be making my order. I'll need a 15" frame and Sherwood's 17" doesn't seem to have much room left between the top of the shock hardware and the TT. I'm guessing the 15" will just have a smaller (or none) taco between the TT and ST.

I believe the word is that the production Bastardo's numbers are done, I'm 100% positive that the 15" will have a smaller taco. Also again that's a full custom 17" pictured. The TT is coming in WAY lower than a standard 17" would have and it has a much larger Taco.

I'm not sure about the timetable of when he'll release the geometry numbers.

I did test ride it in the parking lot. Felt a LOT more flikable than the 29'ers I've tested. Rolled over a few rocks and it felt stable, but, I didn't feel a huge difference between it and my Bruja but to be fair, Bruja has brand new 2.6 Kena Kinetics (Stick-E) so it rolled over ANYthing yesterday.

    And Making Her Board Debut....

    Mrs. Ventana!

Val, Sherwood's wife joined us today. That was pretty cool. I've been riding with Sherwood 15 years now and this is the first time I've MTB'd with Val.

That's my problem.....I couldn't stay off my bike only making things worse. The turning point to decide to see the doctor was on the midweek ride......I was yaking up green snot balls the size of golf balls....it still took me a few days after that to actually make an appointment.

Get better. It's a shame you couldn't make it. Finch Platte would have loved to get a picture of those

Also, it would have been nice to meet you in person, but maybe when I hit Auburn..
