It's got both your type of bikes on there, right? A Ventana and a Foes.

Yup, all it needs is a Turner and it would be garage art!

    Sedona a couple week back

... wait, is this thread for 2012 rides, or 2012 bikes?
Since when did Need have anything to do with this?

But more importantly WELCOME BACK! Glad to see you back on two wheels and dirt!

Ok, about that Couple on the ECDM... I don't know what makes me cringe more, the Fox Fork, or the thought of the unprotected boom tube out at RVille. Mad props to them though for hitting that place on a 8' long beast! Wow.
Cool to see the tandem being used. I know we will never ride there...it would be a very long drive.

Agree on the unprotected boom tube. Our ECDM now sports a glide plate made from 2mm or so of carbon fiber.

Now if I could get some serious frame mounted bash guard for the front chainring...

Fork wise, there are a few folks running the single crown Fox forks on tandems. For what we ride I'll suffer with the added weight but better steering of the Fox 40 or an ATC. It just makes the bike more precise and flickable if that term can be used when referencing a tandem.

Here I am just a couple seconds too slow for the timer on the camera. This is at the top of the Big Rock Trail and the Cedar Rock Trail in Dupont State Forest. This is the location for the cover photo of the January issue of BIKE magazine

    Not quick enough...
    Beautiful scenery out there!

We had some good rain fall here on SoCal on Friday, but after letting them dry for a day, today things were fantastic!

Up from SoCal to visit the in-laws in Maxwell, CA (1 hr N. of Sac), we brought the bikes! Had two days of riding near Folsom, CA.

Fleming Meadows Trail #8 (above Pollock Pines, CA)

You never know who you'll bump into out on the trails in NorCal!

    Tahoe Riding...

Got a quick trip to Tahoe in over Father's Day weekend, no action shots as I was solo for all rides, but did try out the new Van Sickle Trail from Van Sickle Bi-State Park.

    The Veiws Sucked,
    156

    and the trail was terrible...
    154

    and poorly marked..
    .

Why is it called "Bi-State Park?".....
    148

One interesting side note... incredible amounts of Pine Tree Pollen, literally snowing pollen!
