    2011 cable routing pictures?

It would be great if someone could post some pictures of finished cable routing on the 2011 el Rey or el ciclon.

Specifically where the looped Velcro sticker pads go and how their rear brake line lays in the seat tube cable mount.

I can not get mine to lay remotely flat in there.

Some finished pictures would be helpful.

Impressed how easily the lines routed through the down tube.

UPDATE: Talked to Ventana and got an explanation. The velcro stickers go around the cable and brake housing at the location of the tab. That "fattens" up the diameter, making it easier to get a good tension on the zip tie.

I will post some pictures after I clean it up. Makes sense after talking to them.

Did the first shakedown ride tonight - will post a review here in due time.

I saw those, thanks. Any chance you could shoot the brake line and that particular zip tie mount? That is the one I am struggling with. Not sure if I can get the cable to "lay down" in the mount more and I know we don't want them to move at all in the mounts. That mount at the shock tabs...

    Thanks.

Here's mine. One thing I've ended up doing is using two or three small zip ties in each cradle under the bb, rather than one large one as intended. They tighten down the housing better, and the housing stays in place if one of the two/three breaks. You might try that on the seat tube as well.

I think you'll be fine if the brake line is not completly seated in the seat tube zip tie tab. I'm not even using a zip tie at that tab and it hasnt been a problem. No cable rub or cable wear at all.

Are the router holes in the down-tube pre-fab? I'd really like a frame w/o the internal routing, and just have zip-tie tabs on the underside of the downtube - this design makes for good downtube protection from rocks and is about the straightest route you can go.

This the zip-tie option is something Sherwood would do?

You can get what you want for sure. It'll take a little extra time, and money, but I'm sure Ventana would do that for you.

I noticed you have the frame / fork listed on fleabay! So you decided to sell it?

    .

Update 2 for the evening: No longer selling it. Decided to keep it and hopefully sell my Single Speed.

Shakedown ride tonight - went VERY well. More to come.
