    hotels and bikes

Are hotels generally ok with one strolling through the lobby with your bike? I don't mean muddy after a ride. Ive walked through a couple holiday inns with no problem but wondering with the more expensive ones like the Hilton etc.
Better 2 ask 4 pardon than 2 ask for permission. Recall that nxt time U feel you have 2 ask ur wife if U can buy something

I have stayed at some pretty nice hotels with my bike. I normally just ask if they can store it down in the lobby or with the valet. If the hotel has a problem accommodating a bike it isn't a nice hotel.

You'll likely see a huge difference in attitude between the hotels that are tied to a popular riding area or bike park, and the ones that don't rely on bikers for their summer business.

Most decent hotels have electronic key cards that open doors other than the lobby. Simply bring it up to the room. I am sure there is nothing that forbids that.
