Early to mid July too early to ride CO mountains?

A few years back I rode Monarch Crest with a group in late July. There was still snowpack. Is early July, second week too early to ride Monarch Crest, or the trails just west of Denver? I know that they are a ways apart, a buddy is getting married the 18th next year and were starting to plan a possible trip b4 the wedding. We have a place to stay near Breckenridge area. Thanks in advance for any advice/recommendations!!!

Monarch gets up around 12,000 feet and is along a ridge that has some serious drifts from winter winds, so it typically will have some snow into July. There will be plenty of trails with now snow by then. While dependent on the amount of snowfall, spring temps, directional exposure, and elevation, most -if not all- snow is long gone below 10,000 feet by mid July. Peaks Trail, Tanks Trail, and almost all of the other good rides around Breck should be melted out and good to go in all but the most epic years, and even then, you'd only encounter small patches at most.
