Cool-blue Rhythm CT to Nashville Road Trip (HELP... Suggestions)

I'm planning to take a couple weeks off to head south from CT to Nashville. Want to spend 4-5 days in Nashville and hit some of the goodies that exist between here and there.

    Thoughts on places to stop:
    -Snowshoe
    -Pisgah
    -Tsali
    -Racoon Mt.
    -??????

Looking for ideas/routes etc. Wife and I are both experienced/advance riders... hit everything from flow on Single Speeds to Bike Park Tech Double Black diamonds (Whistler/Highland/Mt.Creek/Platty...).

Help us out with stops on the way down and back!

    TIA!

Any idea on your route? Camping, hotels, van down by the river?

A few suggestions nearish to some of your others:
    Tanasi (Ocoee whitewater center)
    Chilhowee
    Big South Fork

Camping is available at all of those.

Hmmm... Fayetteville could be promising. What are the other area trails like? New River Gorge, etc.

    I love Allegripis/Raystown.

The Arrowhead trails in Fayetteville are IMBA designed and really nice trails. The town has lots of great restaraunts, white water rafting, etc. Some links to maps are here at LBS website:

unless you're going to NRG to climb and/or whitewater i wouldnt make a point of going out of my way for the arrowhead trail system. it wont take long to hit all the trails and frankly i found the trails pretty tight, that i had to keep my speed in check constantly. i wasn't surprised to learn it was built by boy scouts. perhaps they had smaller bikes/riders in mind (jk, kinda...)
