Did it yesterday, 4-18, clockwise from 313/Mineral Bottom road. Very dry and sandy, but in this direction most of the really heinous sand pits are on downhills. Coming off Hardscrabble on the north side is particularly deep (one of us had a bad crash here), as is the whole area around Taylor.

Carried 200oz of water each. Could have used another bottle or two, though. Fought hard to get under 10hrs, but failed by 30 minutes...

Saw very few jeeps, no tour companies and no other day-lap'ers. This is peak season, weather is perfect, days are long - yet we had it mostly to ourselves.

Forgot our season pass and got a verbal warning from ranger Kevin on bike patrol.
