Hi, local trail gurus,
We are on our road trip through the area (first time here). After we drove in to town, we talked to the helpful OTE crew, and learned that Zen and Prospector-Church Rocks hold up well even just after a rain. They are right! We waited out the rain and had fun on these rides. In the next two days (Fri & Sat), we want to knock out following rides as fast as we can (e.g. two rides a day) before we make our way back:
- Gooseberry Mesa
- Goulds-JEM-Hurricane Rim loop
- Little Creek
My question is considering today's rain, in what sequence should we tackle these rides? Even though Zen was perfect, our CR-V tires were covered in mud and slid a bit on the short dirt road getting to the TH. It makes me anxious about the scary approaches I heard about Guaco and Gooseberry. Do I need to worry tomorrow or Saturday?
