Sidewinder trail today. (show and tell)

Never would have seen him if he didn't walk right in front of me.

I still want to see a tortoise!

Dude! I would kill to see a Gila in the wild. Nice find... and way cooler than a tortoise.

Very cool. I saw a tortoise last fall on the road to Rim Runner trail head.

Awesome that you saw that! Seen plenty of tortoises but never a gila monster.

Did you apply stabilization in post on that? looks awfully smooth for handheld.

Excellent! Do you know the first step for treating the bite of a Gila Monster? It's something along the lines of "Cut off the Gila Monster" unless you are able to fully submerge it.

    Awesome animal and nice find!

Cool! Sounds like you got really lucky, i pulled this from my wikipedia reading: "It is estimated that the Gila monster spends 95% of its time underground in mammal burrows or rocky shelters."

Yeah, I felt pretty lucky to see him. I pretty much dumped my bike to the side, grabbed my phone, and started recording. There was a chill in the air, so he was probably in slow motion from being a bit cold????

Yes, I used youtube's new image stabilizing feature. First time I've used it, and it's sooooo much smoother. It almost seems too smooth?
