    Saint George and Zion

Can someone give me the lowdown on the riding in and around Saint George and Zion in SE Utah? I've done the Moab thing to death, and I've heard that SE Utah has some great riding, but I can't find anyone locally who is familiar with it. What I'm looking for is some advice on where to ride, where to stay, when to go (weather-wise), what else there is to do down there. Thanks!

    St. George riding.

I have lived here in St. George all my life and it has some great trails to ride. The best place to get info on the St George area rides is at http://www.utahmountainbiking.com/ under St George area. Some popular trails are Goosberry, Little Creek, Church Rock, Broken Rim Mesa, The Green Vally Loop, Stuckie Springs, Jem Loop and many more. The best time to ride is froim now to about the end of may otherwise you need to ride in the mornings or late evenings and bring plenty of water. But you probably know all this were you have riden in Moad. If you have any questions send me a Private Message.

    This weekend...

...I may be heading from Vegas to SLC and looking to ride in the St. George area on Friday or Saturday. I ride SS and have done Little Creek Mountian, Gooseberry Mesa, Broken Mesa Rim, and the Green Valley Loop. I have never done JEM and would like to try it if it is a good ride. Let me know if you want to play tour guide.

    Hey Menny,

I'm jensen23's brother, and maybe we could trade playing tour guides as we're looking for some info/direction for the Vegas area. This weekend is going to be tough to get out with Easter and all, but possibly Friday. The Jem Loop is OK, with a somewhat lackluster, drawn-out, double-trac climb followed by decent rolling tight single-trac, reminisant of Bear Claw Poppy/Green Valley Loop. Let me know when you'll be coming through and I'll see if I can't but some time together.

    A quickie

Crash, I called and just left a message that I couldn't ride. I did Church Rocks last Friday and it was pretty cool.

Let me know if you need an escort down here in Vegas. There is some pretty cool stuff for everyone here.
