I'm going this year for the first time. The chance to demo all the latest bikes on world renowned trails seems like a great time to me.

If your in the market for a new bike, it is totally worth it. You can take multiple bikes on the same trail for a real comparison. Lots of bikes, lots of bikers, lots of beer!

I know it is late in the game, but is anyone renting a condo they need to fill? Three of us are coming in from fort collins and I am trying to find a place to stay. We might camp, just starting to come up with a plan.

I'm going for the first time this year. Anything I should know from experienced attendees?
Do I need to reserve shuttles well in advance for the days preceding the actual Demo?
Can you take a bike for a whole day if you want. To do TWE or Mag 7 to Gold Bar to Portal for instance ?
Can you reserve bikes ahead of time or is it strictly first come, first served?
If I've already registered, what do I need to do when I show up at the Demo Friday morning? What's the procedure?

Thanks in advance. I'll post up more questions

Event will be slightly different this year when it come to demo bikes.
Here's what I know at this time:
    1. Yes-reserve shuttles in advance if you want to take part in a scheduled Outerbike"guided/supported" group ride of TWE the 2 days before the demos start. Or, skip the organized ride and just schedule a shuttle like you'd do any other time.
    2. Supposedly no demo bikes allowed for TWE because of the time commitment. Demo bikes are not available till Friday.
    3. First come first served. Some bikes will be marked for longer demos and some will be marked for shorter demos. You'll be handing a card linked to your CC to the booths for demos.
    4. No demo bikes allowed in or on personal vehicles this year. If a demo bike is going on a vehicle it needs to be on the official Outerbike shuttles.
    5. On Friday, you'll see lots of people showing up early and taking place in line. You'll need to check in with the Outerbike staff and let them know you're there and get your goody bag, demo card, etc. There's usually a sprint to the premier demo booths to get bikes in the AM.

Shuttles run continually throughout the day to the designated off site riding areas.

    Thanks Norm.
Will there be any way to get my goody bag and demo card Thursday night so I'm all ready to make my mad dash for the "premier" booths Friday morning?

Yeah, I plan to ride on my own Wednesday and Thursday rather than doing the official outer bike guided rides. I guess my question is will all the normal shuttle options be full with guided rides?

Not sure on Thursday night registration.
Official schedule says on site registration starts Friday.
Vendors set up on Thursday, so come on by Thursday afternoon/evening and see what's going on for early registration.

    Thursday, October 3
All day: Guided rides and clinics
8 pm: Movie Arrival at Star Hall, 159 E. Center St.

    Friday, October 4
8 am: Outerbike registration opens at the event site, Bar
    M Trailhead
    9 am: Demos open
10 am: Shuttles to Amasa Back Trailhead begin
1 pm: Last shuttle to Amasa Back Trailhead
4 pm: Last shuttle returns to Bar M
    4:30 - 5:30 pm: Beer garden time!
    5 pm: Demos close
8 pm: Movies Singletrack High & Not Bad at Star Hall,
    159 E. Center St.

Give Porcupine Shuttle a call for Wed/Thurs shuttles.
They had space last week for TWE both days.
