I just moved to Hurricane and am eager to start riding the trails here. So far in St. George I have done Bearclaw and Zen.
I have done a few miles of the Hurricane Rim but turned back because I wasn't sure if it was the kind of trail you should ride alone the first time. I started thinking it would be nice if someone else was there to at least let my wife know which canyon my lifeless, mangled body was lying in.
Are there any organized group rides on the weekends? I am kind of slow and not used to the technical trails here so I would probably hold up a group of experienced riders.
Would you recommend riding the Rim or JEM trails solo the first time? Is it easy to get lost?
Thanks.
