Info on Uintah Mtn/Ashley Forest Trails north of Vernal?

I'm looking for some areas to do some ultralight mtn bikepacking this summer and this area north of Vernal in Ashley Ntl Forest looked interesting and promising, but I've never been there. The area is east of the Wilderness Area, Marsh Peak is a good landmark. The trails I see are on either side of the Peak, S.Fk. Ashley Cr on the east. and Dry Fork on the west, even a trail over the alpine between the two, but also trails meandering between lakes in the valleys. The forest map I have of the area is probably 15 yrs old (before mtn bikes) and so I'm wondering if anyone has any info on the area, trail conditions, are bikes even allowed. thanks

I haven't ridden in exactly that area, but...

I have ridden in the north eastern part of the Uintas. Bikes are allowed on most trails outside the High Uintas Wilderness Area, but most of the trails are chewed up pretty badly by 4-wheelers. There is some amazing scenery, however, so it is a worthwhile destination. For more info, I'd contact the guys at Altitude Cycles in Vernal.
