So I take that the endurance 100 (12 hr) is fun. Tell me whats so fun about it (convince me) Im comming from Seattle to do it and Im not sure is I want to drive that far for such an event.
The best part is the people. SLC has a very supportive and friendly bike comunity.
The course is OK. The last 2 years have been wicked hot, and there is like 0 shade.
Last year i did the 12 hours of the E100 and then the Park city perfect 10 a few weeks later and thought the Perfect 10 was by far the better event. Its a fund rasier for a youth mtn bike team, rather then plain capatialism.
The 10 course is awsome. Sweet fun singletrack, broken up by a steep fireroad climb. Fast laps like 25-30 min.
The E12 is a good event, but the P10 was one of the best organized and supported events I have ever been in. Its tenitivly scheduled for mid july.
If you're driving all the way from Seattle, I wouldn't spend 12 hours riding in circles (Sorry, Boris). I've done the PC12 and its great fun. However, the Wasatch have sooooo much great singletrack that you could spend 12 hours riding it and not hit anything twice! Pick what you like and go for it. One thing is sure, you won't regret riding in Utah!
