Any good trails in Utah County?

So just like the title says. I live in Utah County and just barely bought a bike. Literally just rode it home. Wanted to take it out this weekend if there were any dry trails that anyone suggested. I am looking for something local since it will be my first time out in over 10 years.

For your first time out in 10 years I would recommend the Bonneville Shoreline trail in Orem and Provo. I was out in the Orem foothills today and everything was mostly dry. For more trails I would look at UtahMountainBiking.com or skidmap.com those are both really good sources.

Thanks; I did check out utahmountainbiking.com and that was super helpful. I will have to try out the Bonneville Shoreline thanks for the suggestion. Anywhere else I can go that will be a "Must SEE".

The southern half of Lambert is good to go. I have developed a liking of the Race Course in Provo Canyon. When they are dry I really like the Alter trails above Provo Canyon.
Just outside of Utah Vally are a HUGE amount of possibilities! You will honestly have no shortage of stuff to do.

Sweet. That is what I have been told. thanks guys, now I have some local places to try out before I plan anything to far away. I at least want to get the basics down before trying a place like moab you know.

Eagle Mountain in N.W. Utah county has an entire dedicated mtb park and skills area. They are in the process of adding a significant amount of new trail as well.

Really that sounds like a good one too. Has anyone heard about one in elk ridge by Salem? does anyone have an address or directions?

I second the suggestion to check out The Skid Map

You will see that Utah county is full of awesome trails of all ability levels.

Venture to south Utah County and check out Hobble Creek Canyon in Springville, and Payson Canyon. Lots of good trails in both. Enjoy and post up pics of some rides!
