Would Shimano LX cranks be OK for DJ/Urban riding?

I have a brand new set of the new Shimano LX cranks with integrated bottom bracket laying around and wonder if they'd be OK for my DJ/Urban bike? I have the XT version on my XC race bike and love then, but I realize that dj/urban riding is a little tuffer on equipment.

Do you think the LX cranks would hold up? They seem pretty beefy.

mine held up ok for a while. then i cracked the BB. theyre alright if youre lighter (i weigh 260-280) but if your a bigger person i dont think they do too well. Overall i would just suggest sticking with those till they break. Just plan for them breaking some time and save up money accordingly.

New LXs, I'd sell them and get some chromoly cranks. Let some XC rider enjoy the LXs.

I was just curious about the durability of the LX's and whether they would work. XT's are probably a little stronger, but I noticed Hans Rey has XT's on one if his trials bikes...

Are you going to be riding trials or street?

Remember, pros get parts from their sponsors. You don't.
