    Spansh BBs...

Can somebody explain the damn things to me?

I was going to put a set of Deity Vendettas (new version) on my Trail-or-Park. The Transition website says the BB width is 73mm. The Vendettas are 73mm. But then the Transition website also mentions "Spanish BBs only".

Does this mean I won't be able to fit an apparently awesome crankset on an otherwise sweet frame?

I'm rather annoyed at the presence of BMX standards in my mtb. Not to bash the BMX crowd - it just doesn't seem right on 26s.

    Integrated headsets I exempt.
Let's take Colorado and go chill with the British Isles.

For $20 problem solved. For what its worth having a larger, stiffer BB than Euro has been nice.

BMX bottom brackets are better for a dj/urban rig. Wheelsize is irrelevant.
Your only real concern with spanish and mid bmx type bb is getting the internal spacer the proper length. It needs to be just long enough to keep the bearings from both pushing against the stops on the inside of the Shell. They are incredibly easy to install, and will allow you to run many very nice cranksets, including the Deitys.

Spanish BBs are awesome. I will say that, I agree.

I have Vendettas on my 08 ToP as well. They're starting to get a teeny bit creaky after a good year of botched landings, but pretty awesome.

Spanish BB was a snap to install and get set up, just don't do anything that doesn't "seem" right.
