I use Smith Skabs. They make my knees happy.

I've got the 661 4x4 Knee/shin combo. Awesome. Love them. The material and padding has a wide mesh that allows for a lot of airflow to keep you cool.

I just got the 661 Kyle Straits. I really dig these, good combo of padding and mobility but they are deffinately not the fullest protection on the market.

i'm looking at getting some kyle straits for DJing

i currently use Roach Rally FRs

i like the shin protection when wearing shorts inthe summer, but i figure when wearing jeans in the winter i can just wear kyle straits under
would you recomend i go w/ the 661 Pro DJ for more protection? or will kyle straits be better for fitting under pants?

for under jeans, look at the shadow conspiracy. very nice. yeah, I have Roach Rally FR's as well, but they are overkill and overheat in the street.

I have the 661 Pro DJ's and the Kyle Strait's.

The Pro DJ's are great, and offer the most protection, but they aren't the best for wearing when doing a lot of pedaling (I wore them when riding at Gooseberry Mesa... falling on slickrock sucks!). The Kyle Strait's are quite comfortable for longer rides.

If you're just dirt jumping or downhilling, either one would work.

The Shadows ae nice but I like the WeThePeople Fuse's even better. Slimmner and a little more durable imo.
