    Jump Angle Issue

I'm pretty new to jumping. I seem to be able to hit flat drops, and some steeper jumps just fine. When it comes to smaller kickers, particularly steep ones, my feet seem to come off of the pedals in the air almost every time. Usually they only come 1-2 inches off and I'm able to safely land them back on the pedals before landing, but does anyone know why my form is causing this?

i'd like to see the jump you're talking about and maybe even get someone to video you.

not to blame the jump (cuz it's always the rider ) but small steep jumps can be kinda dumb. they're usually the result of kids wanting to have steep jumps but not doing the work to actually build a big jump. they just take an existing small or medium jump and "carve out" a steep lip.

a short jump should look roughly like this:

a taller jump can have more degrees of arc.

but if it's only 2-3 feet tall, it shouldn't be 70 degrees of arc.

it's a wheelbase issue. it's way too abrupt to have a 4 foot radius curve.....
