Jamis Kromo vs. Commencal Max Max
Sold a Kona Shred for a more DJ specific bike. About to order one soon. Havent ridden the Kromo but rode a Commencal today and liked it. I can order the Jamis on Jenson for $412 (thanks to whoever posted that heads up) and the Commencal is $600.
Kromo - disc brakes and a real fork (steel frame)
Commencal - V brakes and a hi-ten fork. (alum frame)
Anyone got any thoughts? I like the idea of the kromo for obvious reasons but I'm new(er) to this world! Thanks for the tips.
p.s. I did use the search function and found nothing on the Max Max
ide say get the jamis. even tho u got to ride the commencal, the jamis is a FAR better deal. its a better build and should last longer.
No longer a hardtailkid.
Jamis! Just got the Kromo, and I'm in love. Check out my thread in this room (Urban/DJ/Park) on the Kromo. As for the brakes, they are good brakes, but the pads have not broken in yet. The fork is pretty plush, as far as I can tell. Get the free Pro-Build from Jenson. It is worth the extra day or two.
