    I go in quarter inch increments until they feel nice. It may be a little time consuming but the perfect bars make a bike a little more enjoyable...

    28" is perfect for me. You'll have to find your own ideal width.

    Find your own, it's personal preference and nobody will be able to say what is confortable to you. The internet is not the place to find your own tastes.

    For what it's worth I run mine at 26'' because I'm a short dude.

    Yeah. Lop off about a 1/4 inch at a time. You can use a pipe cutter. I have mine at 27.5 inches.

    if you have lock-ons, you could just move the grips around until you get the right feel - them cut off what remains beyond the grips
    Honestly... ahh I give up

    I like keeping the bars wider but running long grips, like the Fly Ruben grips from www.empirebmx.com . So you can move your hands in narrower if you want to for certain tricks...

    The typical width range...is anywhere from 24.5" to 28"

    Animal Piff handlebar 2.0

    7.28" rise, 24.5" width, 11.5 degree backsweep, 3 degree upsweep, 13 butted heat-treated 4130 cromo; 1 lb, 5.9 oz;

    Fly Bikes Tierra Grande handlebar

    Kevin Porter signature bars, baby! 8.25" rise, 28" width, 11.5 degree backsweep, 2 degree upsweep, 1 lb 8.4 oz;

    i like mine as short as possible push the levers shifters in as far as they go measure room for grips and chop away sometimes i even cut the grips down too. (even lockon type grips that bolt from one side only like my Specialised grips)
