I think DJ bikes and Urban bikes are about the same. So yeah if the bike is in good shape, and is what you want then get it.

I just got a Giant STP and I plan to build it up for DJ and Urban.

That gimp def looks more like a DJ with it's geo, horizontal drops, and the tt gusset, but DJ/Urban is a blurry line. Do you want to run single speed or gears?

For that budget, have you checked out the Azonic Steelhead? Perhaps browse around for something gently used to save some extra scratch.

If you're in the US, I think there's a dude on pinkbike with two brand new steelheads for sale, and they've been up for a long time. I think he's asking $150 per, but you can probably get a better price.

I actually got my STP for free in a sense. I actually traded my trials bike for it straight up bike for bike.

i saw the steelheads. i like them but i think they are just the frame. this is the whole bike. yeah the gimp is marketed as a DJ bike, i was just wondering if it would work for some urban stuff. and i am going to run SS. its already set up and thats what i wanted to do anyways. mtbiker that is an awesome deal. have fun with it.
