    DJ bike for All-Mountain?

I am looking at a 2006 Jamis Komodo for 400$ on craigslist. I do all mountain, some downhill, some jumps, some xc rides, and I was just wondering if I would be able to do everything on this bike because its a GREAT deal. Thanks for looking. All input is helpful!

Depending on your height and all, yes. Older DJ bikes tend to lend themselves better to those things and if I recall correctly the Komodo was marketed as an all-arounder. Be wary of components- that's an old bike so you want to be sure to give it a really good checking out before purchasing. You do risk buying a lemon especially at that age but couldn't tell you without seeing pictures. You can always offer lower too.

If you can find one, a gary fisher mullet is an excellent DJ/AM bike. Light and strong as hell

Be wary of Jamis DJ frames. They tend to crack in conspicuous places. The shop I worked for stopped selling Jamis because, the frames would crack and Jamis refused to honor their warranty.
